Lombardy, Italy

In early 2019 I had a chance to visit some Italian friends I'd met at an Alpine Club of Canada hangout around Cmas 2016 in Toronto. It turns out they were doctors, doing their residencies in Toronto. In Italy they were also Ski Mountaineering guides. We'd spent some quality time together in Canada. I introduced them to canooeing and the Tobermory Peninsula. We went ice climbing, hiking and shared plenty of laughs and road trips.

Now it was my turn to meet them in Brescia where they lived on the tailend of a work trip to Oxford. It was an epic few days together, some of the most special in my memory. They pickd me up in Milan, we toured Tyrol, skied in Austria, drove through the Dolomites, walked the uncrowded streets of Venice in Winter, and of course checked out Garda lake. I met their family and friends. These are a few pics from that trip.
