For a moment

For a moment I was someone else, the one you wanted. The one that made your heart sing. But judgement rushed in, an unforgiven sin. The door blew closed as the chill set in. It's all too hard you said, and in an instant, what we had seemed dead. We can reimagine, reinvent I parried. Though now I wish I had not tarried. For what is loss but a mirage? One cannot lose what was not yours. All I have is knowing... knowing for a moment, our hearts had touched.
